Mako Winter Invitational
 
WOW, what a meet!
 
I’d like to thank all the parents who volunteered as timers, those who worked at the concessions table & awards table, those who donated items to our concession stand, and those of you who made sure that the coaches and officials were well fed & fueled in the hospitality room. I also appreciate all the hard work and long hours the coaching staff and officials put into this meet.
 
Special thanks goes out to Lauren Schwindt & Tony Fitz.
Lauren organized the hospitality room and concessions.  Lauren also volunteered her time at the concessions table for all 4 sessions of the meet. Tony, our Officials Chair, organized the many parents who officiated at the meet this weekend.
 
Several coaches and parents complimented us on how well the meet was run this weekend, and we couldn’t have done it without the parent volunteers.  We were even ahead of our timelines, which rarely ever happens at swim meets.
WAY TO GO MAKO PARENT VOLUNTEERS!

Congratulations to Rachel Anderson & Amanda Kendall for setting a new team records!
Rachel set a new 11-12 yr old 400 IM record in the with a time of  5:06.37, and Amanda broke her own existing Open 200 Fly record with a time of 2:09.75.
 
The results, for the Makos swimmers, are posted here.   The results for the entire meet should be posted on the PVS website by the end of the week.
