Junior Olympic Hotel Reservations:

I have booked rooms for the MAKO coaches at the Fairfield Inn in Laurel, MD.  I was able to get a great rate, $87.20, plus tax, for a non smoking room with 2 queen sized beds. I spoke with the reservation agent at the hotel who said that this rate will change soon, so if you know that you are going to JO's and want a room at this rate, you'll need to book it soon.

Important Note from GMU:

The Manager on Duty on Wednesday night, January 6, was doing his rounds in the Men's locker rooms when he encountered three small boys playing in the showers (throwing soap, spraying each other, etc.)  The soap dispensers had been removed from the walls as well.  The younger boys stated that they had seen older boys do it.

If this behavior continues, we will assess MAKO with the cost of a locker room attendant per hour per locker room during all of your practices.

Vandalizing is a serious problem, and if any participant is caught vandalizing (i.e removing soap dispensers from walls and dumping soap across locker  room) they will be removed from the facility and will no longer be allowed in the facility until they have met with management.  At that time, management will determine when and if the participant is allowed back in the facility.

We want to make sure that the locker rooms are safe at all times and being used for their intended purpose.

Thank you for your understanding.

PLEASE speak with your children regarding this incident prior to practice this evening.  If anyone is reprimanded for this behavior, they will no longer be allowed to participate on our team, and no refunds will be given. Thank you.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
